Kim Beavers, also known as babyhandtattoos, is a licensed tattoo artist in Springfield, Missouri. Specializing in black and grey, fine line, illustrative pointillism featuring plants, flowers, animals, insects, nature, skulls, skeletons, the human figure and more. She has been tattooing for 5+ years and has been in the arts since she was in primary school. She went to the School of the Arts Institute of Chicago as a junior in high school on a merit scholarship for drawing and painting. She changed course while at the school and decided to move to Los Angeles to try her hand at filmmaking. While living in LA for 11 years she won awards for writing, directing, acting, producing, cinematography and editing. Once covid hit in 2020, Kim moved back to Springfield; Where she began her apprenticeship under Joey Trent, a senior artist at Hearts of Fire for over 10 years.
Just after completing her apprenticeship in early 2022, Kim helped Joey and his wife, Lexi, open Lovers Tattoo Company, where she continued to grow as an artist and build her clientele. In August of 2026, Kim began a new chapter in her career, stepping out on her own to create a studio and space that reflects her evolving vision for her art and her work.

“I believe tattooing is a very sacred experience. Tattoos are quite literally the only thing we take to the grave and it’s an honor to get to put my art on people for them to carry with them forever. With that said, I take this job very seriously. My goal is to give you not only a tattoo you’ll love forever but to also give you an experience you’ll remember fondly every time you look at your tattoo.”
